As US President Donald Trump publicly rejected Iran's proposal for a ceasefire and reopening the Strait of Hormuz this weekend, the Iranian foreign minister reiterated that "there is no alternative to a negotiated solution."
According to a Reuters report, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Sunday that Tehran’s conditions for reopening the strategic waterway remain unchanged.
Tehran said the proposed pact would trigger a seven-day countdown to reopening the strait and a pause in regional fighting.
