The development comes amid allegations by the CJP that the magistrate did not hear the bail matter of its two co-convenors on the merits, citing a threatening message he had allegedly received.
The controversy over the delay in hearing of plea for the release of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das took a fresh turn on Sunday after the Delhi Police registered an FIR following an alleged threat to the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) concerned.
CJP's legal head Ratna Singh questioned why an alleged threatening message should affect the proceedings concerning Das and Ranka.
