Weather today September 28: IMD has issued a heavy rain alert for Uttarakhand, South Interior Karnataka and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands today, while Telangana and Andhra Pradesh may face thunderstorms and gusty winds. Many other states also have rain and wind alerts.
After torrential rains wrecked havoc in parts of Uttar Pradesh killing at least 46 people, the India Meteorological Department has forecast light rain over the area on Monday.
The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds across several states, with yellow alerts issued for Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir on September 28.
