Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said there was no evidence to support allegations that Pakistani authorities had recruited or trained former Afghan security personnel or facilitated the activities of Islamic State or other militant groups in Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry says it has lodged a diplomatic protest with the Taliban over what it described as the provocative incursion of 23 drones from Afghan territory. The Taliban had previously rejected Pakistan’s claim that the drones entered the country from Afghanistan.
