Daryz became the first colt for 48 years to win the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in successive seasons with a brilliant victory at Longchamp
PARIS (AP) — Daryz made it back-to-back wins in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with victory by 1 1/4 lengths in Europe’s most prestigious flat race on Sunday. The favorite, trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and ridden by Mickael Barzalona, finished ahead of Bay City Roller in second and Diamond Necklace in third.
Daryz is the first two-time winner since Enable in 2017 and 2018 and first colt to achieve the feat since Alleged almost half a century ago.
