City and administrative center of Odesa Oblast, Ukraine
Odesa, also spelled Odessa, is the third-most populous city and municipality in Ukraine and a major seaport and transport hub located in the south-west of the country, on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea. The city is also the administrative centre of the Odesa Raion and Odesa Oblast, as well as a multiethnic cultural centre. As of January 2021, Odesa's population was approximately 1,010,537.

At least eight people were injured in the Odesa region as a result of Russian strikes. A private business, port infrastructure, a high school, an animal shelter, a private home, and vehicles were damaged.
The Air Force said that Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with an Onyx and Zircon anti-ship missile, two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 152 attack drones, 82 of which were jet-powered.
One person was killed and two others injured in a Russian attack on Odesa on the evening of 26 September. Emergency crews are dealing with the aftermath of the strike.
