Aircraft leasing giant Avolon has placed one of the largest aircraft orders by a leasing company in the past five years, as persistent supply shortages prompt major lessors to lock in production slots years ahead of delivery.
Rolls-Royce has secured an order from Avolon for 70 Trent 7000 engines, following the lessor’s recent agreement to acquire 35 A330neo aircraft from Airbus.
Finance company Avolon is to acquire a series of new Airbus aircraft, including models A330-900s and A320neos.
