Diplomatic efforts between the US and Iran through mediators continued Monday after President Trump rebuffed Iran’s latest proposal to reopen the critical Strait of Hormuz.
President Trump said he was rejecting an Iranian plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian proposal is similar to a memorandum of understanding agreed upon by the U.S. and Iran back in June.
Iran's foreign minister acknowledges Trump's comments, but adds that Tehran is waiting for the "definitive views" of mediators.
