US President Donald Trump said Thursday the United States would not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections and that "productive" talks were underway, after reports of US preparations for possible large-scale strikes.
U.S. representatives are having 'productive discussions' with Iran, the president said on Truth Social. Trump's comments follow a report in The Atlantic that the Pentagon was asked to prepare a potential strike ahead of the midterm elections
