The Bahrain Grand Prix, officially known as the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for sponsorship reasons or in 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, is a Formula One motor racing event held in Bahrain. The inaugural race took place at the Bahrain International Circuit on 4 April 2004. It was the first Formula One Grand Prix held in the Middle East and was awarded the FIA’s prize for “Best Organised Grand Prix”.

Motorsport championship held worldwide
Formula One (F1) is the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel, single-seater formula racing cars run by the Formula One Group and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA Formula One World Championship has been one of the world's premier forms of motorsport since its inaugural running in 1950 and is often considered to be the pinnacle of motorsport. The word formula in the name refers to the set of rules all participant cars must follow. A Formula One season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix.

Town in Selangor, Malaysia
Sepang is a small border town and also a mukim in Sepang District, Selangor, Malaysia. The most known part of the town is its western part, which contains both Kuala Lumpur International Airport – Malaysia's largest airport – and the Sepang International Circuit, where the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix was and Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix is held.
