Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for 9 counties today and a Status Yellow rain warning has also been issued for five counties.
There could also be difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and branches, as well as debris and loose objects displaced
Met Éireann has warned that “very strong and gusty southeasterly winds” may cause wave overtopping and flooding on coasts.
