Republic of Ireland head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson says his players "raised awareness worldwide" after they chose not to engage in pre-match formalities with Israel.
Ireland's players wore black armbands in support of Palestine, bowed their heads, and refused pre-match handshakes.
Before a limited crowd in Debrecen, Ireland exploited Israel's defensive gaps after the teams skipped handshakes, scoring in the 13th, 16th and 25th minutes. Coach Hallgrímsson said 'We are not playing with genocide, we are playing against genocide'
