The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds across several states, with yellow alerts issued for Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir on September 28.
