Five men in custody on suspicion of attempted preparations for an act of terrorism near an American air force base.
US President Donald Trump says the five people arrested over the alleged plot planned to do "big damage" to a British air base used by the US Air Force in south-west England.
Scores of homes were evacuated in the UK town of Whelford, near an air base used by the US military, with bomb disposal teams checking "suspicious vehicles" at the scene. Police said five men had been arrested.
