The Los Angeles Dodgers are an American professional baseball team based in Los Angeles. The Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West Division. The club has won nine World Series championships and a record 26 National League pennants. As of 2026, Forbes ranked the Dodgers second in MLB franchise valuation at $7.8 billion.

Ohtani has never batted anywhere but first or second since joining the Dodgers, but he has been slumping for weeks. It is the lowest he has batted in a lineup since the 2020 season with the Angels.
Kiké Hernandez and Freddie Freeman stake the Dodgers to a three-run lead against Chris Sale and Yamamoto makes it stand up, allowing just one run on four hits in seven innings in a 3-1 win. Game 4 is Wednesday.
