Gold prices fell on Tuesday, pressured by a stronger dollar as investors awaited US inflation data for fresh indications about the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate path.
TradingKey - On October 12, gold (XAUUSD) prices rose slightly, continuing to hold above $4,200 per ounce. In the previous week, gold gained a cumulative 1.3%. A retreat in oil prices and a decline in long-term U.S. Treasury yields eased some market concerns over further interest rate hikes, providing support for gold.
Gold ETF inflows rose to about ₹4,500 crore, among the highest in recent times, which reflects a steady, allocation-led approach to commodities amid global uncertainty.
