El Sistema Internacional de Unidades o Sistema Internacional (SI) es un sistema constituido por siete unidades básicas: metro, kilogramo, segundo, kelvin, amperio, mol y candela, que definen las correspondientes magnitudes físicas fundamentales y que han sido elegidas por convención. Las magnitudes físicas fundamentales se complementan con dos magnitudes físicas más, denominadas suplementarias, cuyas unidades se utilizan para la medición de ángulos.
