Venezuelan politician and activist (born 1967)
María Corina Machado Parisca is a Venezuelan politician, engineer, activist, and prominent leader of the opposition to the administrations of Hugo Chávez, Nicolás Maduro, and Delcy Rodríguez. She served as a member of the National Assembly of Venezuela from 2011 to 2014, and has run as a candidate in presidential elections. She was awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize; she presented the medal to U.S. president Donald Trump after the 2026 U.S. strikes in Venezuela and capture of Maduro.

Interim president of Venezuela since 2026
Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez is a Venezuelan lawyer, politician, and diplomat who has been interim president of Venezuela since 2026, following the capture of Nicolás Maduro during the U.S. intervention in Venezuela. She is the first woman in Venezuelan history to perform the duties of the presidency. A member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rodríguez served as the 24th vice president under Maduro's government since 2018.
