An avalanche has struck the Himlung Himal base camp in Nepal after days of severe weather. Two guides are confirmed dead and at least 14 people remain missing in the remote region.
Rediff says twelve are missing, while the BBC reports at least 10. Compared across 10 outlets including Rediff, BBC and Deccan Chronicle.
All of the missing are local workers. Despite warnings to avoid dangerous areas, staff could have been setting up base camp before climbing resumes.
