A woman is suing Warren police, the city and a now-former officer for $75 million, alleging Officer Elmondo Smith used his badge and weapon to sexually assault her while on duty.
A new lawsuit expected to be announced Friday, claims that a woman seeking help from police, was then later preyed upon by the responding officer.
According to the complaint, the woman contacted Warren police in June 2025 to report domestic violence.
