Kathmandu: Five persons including two women and three men have gone missing in flash floods in Budhi
At least 10 people have been reported missing after flooding along the Budhi Gandaki River basin in Nepal’s Gorkha district early Sunday. The floodwaters swept away six bridges, damaged several settlements and forced residents to flee to safer areas.
A sudden flash flood tore through Nepal's Budhi Gandaki corridor, washing away homes, bridges and hydropower equipment. Officials say a possible landslide dam breach may be to blame, heightening fears over cascading Himalayan hazards.
