2020 video game
Minecraft Dungeons is a 2020 dungeon crawler video game developed by Mojang Studios and Double Eleven and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is a spin-off of the sandbox game Minecraft and was released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in May 2020. The game was later released on Steam on September 22, 2021. It was also adapted into an arcade video game by Raw Thrills, which released in May 2021. Development concluded in November 2022 with the release of the final content update for the game, version 1.17.
More on Wikipedia ↗Minecraft Dungeons II turned a reviewer who had avoided every Minecraft game on principle into a believer, thanks to a surprisingly engaging story, a deep gear system, and combat that turns out to be far more than button-mashing.
Mojang and Double Eleven add an interconnected world, a new dimension and a jump button, but disposable loot and clunky menus hold back an unambitious sequel.
