West African deity of iron and war
Ogun is a deity associated with iron, metalworking and war in the traditional religions of several West African peoples, including the Yoruba, Edo and Itsekiri. The related Fon deity is known as Gu; forms of Ogun and Gu also appear in religions of the African diaspora.
