The FAA is investigating a software glitch in some Boeing 737 Max jets that could prompt an automated flight guidance system to disengage during an aborted landing.
Boeing was made aware of the glitch in 2024 and in September shared findings from a review board with the FAA.
The problem also affects software in the 737 Max 7 and an undisclosed number of in-service jets.
