Ron Meltzer stood in disbelief outside his Passaconaway Drive home in Dracut early Sunday afternoon as wind‑driven sheets of rain swirled around the pine tree that had just crashed over his roof.
A lingering nor'easter delivered a final round of rain to most of the Northeast after the monster storm blasted the coast with 60 mph wind gusts over the weekend, toppling trees and power lines, as well as bringing significant flooding to some coastal communities.
