Hurricane Nolo has rapidly intensified into a Category 4 hurricane. Hurricane watches have been issued for parts of Hawaii as Nolo brings winds and high surf.
Hurricane Nolo will continue to strengthen as it moves away from Hawaii, forecasters said, but it was still expected to lash the Big Island and Maui with heavy rain.
Hurricane Polo is expected to reach Baja California Sur on Monday as a strong hurricane, while Hurricane Nolo moves away from Hawaii and Tropical Storm Odalys weakens.
