UPDATE: More than 4,500 power outages are being reported midday in New Hampshire. A high surf advisory remains in effect. A coastal flood advisory was extended until early Monday morning.
A powerful, intensifying nor'easter is pounding the Northeast this weekend, putting over 40 million Americans in its path and prompting states of emergency across the region, including parts of New York City and New Jersey.
Highs will range from the 60s near the coast to the mid 70s to the southwest. Coastal flooding will continue into Saturday.
